how to do 802.11 Wireless Sniffing (Packet Capture)

Wildpackets Omnipeek professional/ Windows 7 HP with 3 Cisco/Linksys USB 600's. 

or

Acrylic WiFi is a  WLAN sniffer with its own packet dissector that can also help you to identify fails like the ones described in the article.

As the main benefit, supports monitor mode under Windows and emulates airpcap devices with its own open NDIS driver. Therefore, tools like Wireshark will be able to capture WiFi frames under windows without special hardware.
